Historical Commission Approves Research Projects

In its session last Thursday, the Historical Commission selected 58 scholars from Austria and abroad from a total of over 200 applicants who had submitted bids for 28 research projects and expert opinions. The following criteria were considered especially relevant by the Commission: academic experience and knowledge, the consistency of the contents, methods and aims set out in the expositions, and the applicants' performance in subsequent interviews. In selecting themes, the Commission moreover followed considerations of regional balance.
